Post 149 Volunteering and Helping in the Community

Volunteering and helping in the community is what Legionnaires are all about. Post 149 and Unit 149 Aux member, Desirae Smidt, volunteers as a tutor for the Oasis Program, in the Escondido Community Center. She is part of the inter-generational tutoring program working to help build reading skills for our younger generation. She also helps our community by donating blood at the San Diego Blood Bank.

Want to learn more about the American Legion, how you can join, and how can you get involved in your community? Contact our Post Adjutant, Jeff Dodds at (760) 745-1159.
