CHAPLAIN | CHUCK FAUPEL

I have (2) sickbay to report:

Brian Turpin: Legionnaire and American Legion Rider was admitted in the hospital for a knee replacement on Wednesday June 19th. Karen kept me informed how was doing while in surgery. Surgery went very well. That was his second knee surgery. Had his right knee a few years back. Home for a healthy recovery. Visited him at his home on Friday. Doing great. Prayers for him and his family.

Cathy Wathan: Past Auxiliary President and American Legion rider. Has been in and out of the hospital due to breathing issues. She is at home and now and using an oxygen machine. Will keep updating as progress continues. She is a very strong Lady; she is a fighter. Prayers for her and her family. Continue to march.

Note: We have Legionnaires and family that would like to see more come out and support your post. Its not mine, its ours. We are family. Let’s keep growing.

Stand steady, and don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Bring others to our Father. . . .
—2 Timothy 4:5 (TLB)

All the masterpieces of art contain both light and shadow. A happy life is one filled not only with sunshine, but one which uses both light and shadow to produce beauty. The greatest musicians, as a rule, are those who know how to bring song out of sadness. Fanny Crosby, her spirit aglow with faith in our Father, saw more with her sightless eyes than most of us do with normal vision. She has given us some of the great gospel songs which cheer our hearts and lives. In a rat-infested jail in Philippi, Paul and Silas sang their song of praise at midnight to the accompaniment of the jailer’s whip. But their patience in suffering and persecution led to the heathen warden’s conviction.
