I’d like to thank and commend those who stepped up to join the Clubroom Committee. We have a very energetic group full of ideas for events that will support the post. If you’re interested in joining or assisting the Clubroom Committee, please contact me.
Now that we’ve applauded the new Clubroom Committee members, let’s talk about volunteerism. This is your post, and it takes all of us to keep it running smoothly. Like a car engine, if you depend on just 3 out of 6 cylinders, those three will eventually burn out, and the engine will stop. The same goes for our post. The individuals who always volunteer are nearing burnout, and without relief, they may step back. If these few volunteers stop, the post could eventually stop functioning. Please take pride in our post and step up to volunteer. Whether it’s helping with breakfast, dinners, or special events, the collective effort of our members will keep our post thriving for another 100 years.
Ready to Bust a Gut? Join us on September 21, 2024, from 7:30-9:00 PM for a night of laughter and great entertainment. Tickets are available from the bartender in the clubroom or online at Eventbrite. Tickets are $20 for individuals or $30 for couples. Come out, have a few drinks, and enjoy a good laugh!
Post Dinner will be served from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the show. Show your event ticket and dinner is $10, otherwise, it’s $15. The menu includes lasagna, garlic breadsticks, salad, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
Mark your calendars! We’re having a fundraiser night at Burger Bench on Grand Ave on October 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM until closing. Just tell the cashier you’re there for the Legion, and we’ll receive 10% of the food sales back to the post. Spread the word to your neighbors, friends, and family to come out and support the post. Flyers will be going out soon.
