Volunteering and helping in the community is what Legionnaires are all about. Post 149 and Unit 149 Aux member, Desirae Smidt, volunteers as a tutor for the Oasis Program, in the Escondido Community Center. She is part of the inter-generational tutoring program working to help build reading skills for our younger generation. She also helps our community by donating blood at the San Diego Blood Bank.
